Risk disclosure
Not investment advice. Tokens can go to zero.
Read this before you trade. It is part of the Terms of service, and it describes what can happen to your money when you use Kommunity. None of it is hypothetical: every risk listed here has already cost people everything they put in.
1. You can lose everything
Most tokens launched on Solana lose almost all of their value within days. Many lose all of it within hours. There is no floor, no deposit protection, no compensation scheme and no way to reverse a transaction on a public blockchain.
Only trade with money you can lose entirely without it changing your life. Kommunity makes no promise about returns, and nothing Kommunity displays — a score, a hit rate, a leaderboard, a past receipt — says anything about what will happen next.
2. Past outcomes describe the past
Kommunity scores callers from on-chain outcomes, and it does that honestly: the numbers are computed mechanically from price samples, not chosen by us or by the caller. But a caller with a high hit rate is a caller who has been right before. Nothing more follows from it. A score is not a forecast, a leaderboard is not a ranking of future performance, and a receipt showing a large multiple is one trade out of many that are not shown.
3. Risks that belong to the token
Kommunity displays the flags it can compute, and it never hides one. Read them.
- Mint authority still active. The issuer can create more tokens at will and dilute you to nothing.
- Freeze authority still active. The issuer can freeze your token account. You may be unable to sell, permanently, and there is no appeal.
- Concentrated supply. When the top ten holders own a large share, a single decision moves the price to zero.
- Bundled launch. The launch was bought by wallets funded from a single source, which usually means the float you see is not real.
- Unlocked liquidity. The pool can be withdrawn by whoever owns it, at any moment. This is what a "rug" is.
- Token-2022 transfer fees. Some tokens charge a fee on every transfer, including yours. The amount you receive is smaller than the amount quoted.
- Very low liquidity, or a very young token. Both mean a small order moves the price a lot and that exiting may be impossible at any price you would accept.
- Honeypot behaviour. Some tokens are built so that buying works and selling does not.
These flags come from third-party data and from on-chain state. They can be incomplete, they can be stale, and a token with no flags at all can still be a fraud. The absence of a warning is not a recommendation.
4. Execution risks
- Slippage. The price you get is not the price you saw. Kommunity applies a slippage tolerance and shows you a minimum received; if the market moves further than that, the transaction fails and you pay the network fee for nothing.
- Price impact. On a thin pool your own order moves the price against you. The larger your order relative to the pool, the worse the price you get.
- Failed and expired transactions. A transaction can fail to land, or expire before it lands. You pay network and priority fees either way.
- Front-running. Public transactions are visible before they are confirmed and can be traded against.
- Routing. Kommunity routes through a third-party aggregator and, for pre-graduation tokens, through the launchpad's bonding curve. Either can be unavailable, mispriced, or return a route that is worse than another venue's.
5. Data and display risks
Prices, market caps, liquidity figures, ages and holder distributions come from third-party providers. They can be wrong, delayed, or missing. Market cap in particular depends on a circulating supply figure that a token issuer can misreport. Kommunity marks data as degraded when a provider fails, but it cannot detect a provider that is confidently wrong.
Dollar figures are conversions shown for reading. Every calculation that moves money is done in lamports and raw token amounts.
6. Group and caller risks
A group is an independent third party. Kommunity does not moderate what is posted in a group, does not verify a caller's claims, does not know whether a caller holds the token they are calling, and does not endorse any call.
A caller may hold a position they are about to sell into the demand their call creates. A group may be paid by a token issuer to promote a launch. Kommunity's scoring makes both visible over time — that is the point of it — but it cannot prevent either, and it cannot warn you in advance.
7. Custody and key risks
Kommunity never holds your keys and never holds your funds. That protects you from us, and it means nobody can help you if you lose access.
- If you lose your authentication factors and your exported key, your funds are gone. There is no recovery process anywhere.
- If you export your key and store it insecurely, anyone who finds it takes everything.
- Approving a transaction outside Kommunity, in a wallet, on a site you were sent to, can drain a wallet in one signature. Nobody from Kommunity will ever ask you for a seed phrase, a private key or a signature outside the app.
8. Technology, availability and regulatory risks
Blockchains halt, congest and fork. Smart contracts contain bugs and are exploited. Wallet software, routing partners and data providers all fail. Kommunity itself can be unavailable, and pauses trading deliberately when a dependency is failing.
The regulatory treatment of these assets is unsettled and changes. A token you hold may become impossible to trade in your jurisdiction, or anywhere. Kommunity may have to restrict or withdraw features, or exit a country, at short notice.
9. Taxes
What you owe, to whom, is your responsibility. Cashback and referral payments may be taxable income where you live; disposals may be taxable events. Kommunity does not give tax advice and does not withhold tax. Your trade history is exportable at any time from your privacy settings.
10. If something goes wrong
Every trade Kommunity executes carries an on-chain memo that ties it to its call and its receipt, so what happened can be reconstructed from the chain itself. If you believe a figure is wrong, write to support@kommunity.fun with the transaction signature.
If you have been defrauded by a token, a group or a caller, report it from the token page, the receipt or the trade screen. A founder reads every report.
